Well, after an unexpected night's stay in Salt Lake City, we finally arrived in Boise, Idaho to greet my parents this morning at about 11:00.
Everything was fine from PDX to Salt Lake City. We arrived in Salt Lake at 6:00 pm and were on our way to catch our connecting flight to Boise, which left at 6:45. I sat down to take a rest and looked at the TV with flight info and our flight was the only one listed under "CANCELLED."
We checked in at the front desk and, as it turns out, all flights from all airlines were cancelling flights into Boise, because of freezing fog at our destination. We checked when we were scheduled to leave again, and it wasn't until the next morning at 9:00.
So, we found a hotel and took a shuttle to our home for the night and enjoyed watching the great college basketball games (anyone see the Gonzaga game?) in our huge king sized bed with wonderful, fluffy pillows.
Andrew and I were bummed that we couldn't fly in that night, but we were also very thankful for a couple of things: one-that we had money to get a hotel room and dinner, as we know not everyone was able to do, and two-that the Lord kept us safe and sound through our adventure.
Now, we are praying my sister in--her flight is scheduled to leave at 6:45 tonight. Man, I sure want her to make it before Thanksgiving Day!
Happy Turkey Day, everyone! May the Lord grant you safety in your travels this holiday season.

I'm so glad you made it to your family! I always find staying in a hotel fun, so I hope you enjoyed your mini-vacation.
Happy Thanksgiving!
Glad you made it safe and sound! Thought of you and Idaho last night. We watched Napoleon Dynamite with Doug and Destiny. Too, too funny. "I like your sleeves. They're real big."
Love you guys!
